Leading to the final part of an MBA
This Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management is designed for students who wish to progress to a master’s degree in business-related subjects at universities in the United Kingdom. The programme provides a strong academic foundation and prepares students for the final stage of an MBA.
Successful completion of the course meets the entry requirements for the final stage of the MBA programme at the University of Gloucestershire. Students who complete the diploma will have already achieved two-thirds of the credits required for the MBA. They then need to complete the remaining 60 master’s credits through a dissertation, which can be undertaken either at the university or through an online study option.
In addition to this pathway, students may also progress to full master’s programmes at a range of other UK universities.
The course covers a broad range of business and management topics, with a strong emphasis on practical learning and postgraduate research skills. Students develop their knowledge in areas such as marketing, human resource strategy, and financial management. The programme also includes a module on entrepreneurship, designed to support students who aspire to start and manage their own businesses.
Students benefit from small class sizes, allowing tutors to provide individual guidance and support throughout the programme. The course encourages learners to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business situations, helping to strengthen career prospects. For those already working, the programme also provides practical insights that can be applied directly in the workplace, potentially supporting career advancement and promotion opportunities.
The course is delivered at IFG study centres on a full-time basis over a period of six to nine months. For students with professional commitments, the programme is also available through a virtual online classroom, with classes typically scheduled during evenings and weekends.
Duration – 6 to 9 Months
Intake – September and January
